Violet M. Holloway

Violet M. Holloway, age 77, of Middleton, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, surrounded in love by her family.

Vi loved spending time with her family and taking care of them.  She especially loved playing with her grandchildren.  Vi also enjoyed her monthly card parties with her brothers and sisters, crocheting, crafting, going camping, bowling, and watching the birds.

Surviving Vi are her children, Nick Holloway, Dianne Cave, Mindy Dudley, Marsha Raymor, Debbra Hummel, Eric Holloway, Jeff (Kathy) Williams, Penny Williams; 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Dan) Griggs and Rose Griggs; brothers, Jim (Mary) Avery, David (Judy) Avery, Paul (Karen) Avery, Rich (Kathy) Avery; brother-in-law, Alan Williams, and sister-in-law, Missy Talton; and many nieces and nephews.

Vi was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Mildred (Nisonger) Avery; husbands, Fuzzy Williams and Otto Holloway; sisters, Sharon Husted and Alberta Wise; daughter, Doris Clements; and son-in-law, Mike Raymor.

Vi’s life is being celebrated on Tuesday, August 23rd at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.).  Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM with her funeral ceremony beginning at 11 AM.  Vi will be laid to rest at Fulton Center Cemetery.
