Verlamae Williams

Verlamae Williams, age 76 of Sheridan passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Sheridan Community Hospital.

She was born the daughter of Harvey & Beulah (Foster) Dickerson on March 3, 1942. Preceding Verla in death are her parents; husband, Dan Williams; an infant son; daughter, Tina Marie Johns and brother, Buddy Dickerson.

Verla is survived by her two sons, Dan Williams of Sheridan and Duane (Gail) Williams of Sheridan; sister, Harlene (Robert) Suchy of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Bill, Brad, Daniel, Heather, Ashley, Mike, Auston, Colton, Alisha, Gabe; many great grandchildren and lots of friends.

Verla was a wonderful cook and cooked at many of the local restaurants like the Country Cupboard, Chat-n-Chew and Dutch Oven. She was an avid bowler and bowled for many years on various leagues, but Verla’s greatest love was her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.

Visitation with Verla’s family will be on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2-5 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral service celebrating Verla’s life will be on Monday, June 4, 2018 beginning at 2 PM with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating. Final interment will be next to her husband at Evergreen Cemetery.
