Trever James Towne, age 33 of Greenville, passed away from complications with his Leukemia, on Saturday, February 23, 2019, in Grand Rapids at Spectrum Health Butterworth.
A gifted musician, Trever who loved to not only play music himself, but he also enjoyed helping to find and expose other talented musicians as well. As the owner and operator of “Everything Falls Apart Records & Boutique” in Greenville, Trever was very active in the Greenville community and was always trying to give back. As a member of the Greenville Masons, Trever volunteered on many projects and events, he also organized several area park cleanup projects in Greenville. One of Trever’s passions was helping out troubled teenagers and making sure they got and stayed on the right path. He was a true people person and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Surviving Trever is his mom, Shawn Marie Hopkins of Belding; his dad, Brian (Kym) Hopkins of Sheridan; son, Brighton James Towne of Greenville; his siblings, Brian (Shanda) Hopkins of Greenville; Stacey Hopkins of Greenville; Shawnamarie Johnson of Belding; Brett Hopkins of Greenville; Jessica Deline of Sheridan; Jessica Collins of Greenville; Teresa Doolittle of Grand Rapids; nieces and nephews, Jason; Madisen; Mazzy; Caydence; Adilynn; Joslynn; Dillon; Azalea; the mother of his son, Aimee Heyder of Greenville; several aunts, uncles and cousins and many great friends.
Trever was preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa, Sandra & Albert Towne; grandma and grandpa, Herbert and Edith Hopkins; grandpa Franklin A. Black and uncle, Rick Hopkins.
Visitation for Trever is being held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Simpson Family Funeral Homes in Stanton (225 W. Cedar Street) from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM.
Funeral services for Trever will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton.
