Tony Diaz

Tony (Jose Antonio) Diaz, age 29 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 14, 2019.

Tony was a hard worker, whether it was on cars with his family, at his job or messing with computers. He spent his free time escaping the real world through movies, tv, Anime and video games. His smile was contagious. Tony was bold, loving, and caring, even though at times he tried to hide it. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family.

Surviving Tony is his mom, Amy Borton of Columbus, Ohio; dad, Jose Diaz of Florida; brothers, Marty Allen Borton and John Diaz (Taylor Anderson) of Columbus, Ohio; nephew, David Garold Powell of Columbus, Ohio; aunts, Shawn (Roger) Patton of Vestaburg; Lisa (Joel) Herald of Sand Lake; Christine (Christopher) Card of Oxford; Uncle Jeff Borton of Stanton; Grandmother Laurie Mosby of Stanton; Great Uncles and Aunts Lewis and Sharon Borton of McBrides and Wayne and Linda Borton of Lowell; Great Uncle John Babcock of Louisville, Kentucky, Great Aunt Sally Clute of Stanton, Michigan, many special cousins and friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his Grandfather Garold Gene Borton;, Great-Grandparents Mary and Harold Borton; Melvin and Mary Babcock; and Great Aunt Diane Babcock.

A celebration of Tony’s life is being held on Friday, February 22, 2019, beginning at 11 AM at Trinity Church in Stanton (415 N. Mill Street), with Pastor Mark Edwards officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10 to 11 AM.
