Obituary for Terry Karl Anderson

Terry K. Anderson, age 58, of Crystal, passed away on January 1, 2016 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Terry was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 30, 1957 and is proceeded in death by his father, Charles Anderson and his grandparents.

Surviving Terry is his mom and dad, Jenny & Walt Carter of Stanton; wife, Pamela Anderson of Crystal; stepchildren, Alycia (Rick) Edwards of Sheridan, Josh (Jennifer) Ewalt of Carson City; brothers, Eric (Cathy) Anderson of Okemos, Bob (Donna) Anderson of Lansing; grandchildren, Paige, Peyton, Karlie, Keith; niece, Christina (Tyrone) Nelson of Lansing; nephew, Cory (Tricia) Anderson of Lansing and great niece, Kyla Nelson of Lansing.

Terry was a great musician and if it had strings, Terry could play it. He enjoyed playing gospel, blue grass and country music. He was a member of the National Guard for 17 years, worked at the Missaukee County Sheriff’s Department and Lake City Forge. He was also a volunteer firefighter for many years. Terry was a big Michigan football fan and loved riding his Harley. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a celebration of Terry’s life on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 4 – 8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan and you are free to come and go as you please. Pastor Larry Austin will be sharing a few words of encouragement at 6 PM. Terry will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery in Sheridan.

For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Terry’s memory, you are asked to keep the needs of the family in mind and we will have envelopes available at the funeral home on Tuesday.
