Obituary for Steven P Sinclair

After a heroic journey of courage and strength spanning nearly a decade, Steven Sinclair of Sheridan is at peace, having passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016, in Lakeview at the age of 70.

Steven was born the son of Harold & Roberta (Heron) Sinclair on October 3, 1945 in Sheridan and they precede him in death as well as his brother-in-law Howard Houghton.

Surviving Steve are his children, Angela Baird of Seattle, Washington, Jason Sinclair of Seattle, Washington, Autumn (Scott) Cole of Lakeview; grandchildren, Allison, Daniel, Trenton; sister, Marilyn Houghton of Fenwick; brother, Gary (Sharon) Sinclair of Jonesborough, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.

First and foremost, Steven was a farmer who was passionate about his work. He was also a wonderful father and grandfather. Steven loved to laugh and his laugh was very contagious. A man of few words, Steven was deeply convicted and held strong in his beliefs. He was a big, MSU fan and loved to watch his grandchildren participate in various events. Steven loved his country and community and served in the United States Air Force, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation with Steven’s family will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 16, 2015 beginning at 1:00 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Final interment will be at the Sheridan Cemetery.
