Steven R Carlson

Steven R. Carlson, age 75, of Clarksville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, April 2, 2017.

He was born on February 26, 1942 in Grand Rapids the son of Joseph & Lola (Knapp) Carlson. They along with his brother, Rex Carlson have preceded him in death.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Becky (Tom) Ruiter of Rockford, Marilyn Carlson of Belding; sons, Tom Carlson of Rockford and Eric Carlson of Rockford.

Steve was a hard worker who loved to farm. He enjoyed being outdoors and passed his hard work ethic down to all his children. When he wasn’t farming, he enjoyed riding his bike, going to dances, being around people and having a good time. However, his favorite hobby was going to various sporting events. It didn’t matter if he knew anyone playing or not, Steve loved watching games and enjoyed seeing the competition between the athletes.

Visitation with Steve’s family will be on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 10 to 11 AM at the Courtland Oakfield United Methodist Church (10295 Myers Lake Ave NE, Rockford, Michigan). Memorial services for Steve will begin at 11AM at Courtland Oakfield United Methodist Church.
