Sherry K. Tomalia, age 75, of Stanton, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Spectrum Health Blodgett in Grand Rapids.
Sherry loved creating things and expressing herself with her arts and crafts. She was affectionately known by her friends at Cross Roads Diner as the “goat lady”, because of the goats she raised. Sherry was also a great baker and her family loved the sweets she would always make. She enjoyed spending time on the water and tending to her flower garden. But most important to Sherry was her family, especially her grandkids, and she loved each and every moment spent with them; she was truly the glue that held her family together and will be dearly missed by everyone.
Surviving Sherry is her husband of almost 53 years, Dennis; daughter, Sheila (Jeff) Phenix of Lowell; son, Andrew (Stacy) Tomalia of Bancroft; grandchildren, Courtney (Justin) Stallings of Swartz Creek, Logan (Sammie) Phenix of Marne, Tanner Tomalia of Bancroft, Parker Tomalia of Bancroft, Kylie Schneider of Lansing, Chelsey Schneider of Bancroft, and Kourtni Schneider of Flint; great grandchildren, Isaac Stallings and Addilyn Stallings; sister, Denice (Mark) Pietrangelo of Burton; brother, Dennis (Sue) Hect of Clio; and several nieces and nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Ray & Esther (Gordon) Hect.
A celebration of Sherry’s life is being planned for a later date.
For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Sherry’s memory the family suggests you direct them to Cannonsville Critters.
