Sandra Lou Hough

Sandra L. Hough, age 77, of Belding, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Grand Rapids at Spectrum Health Butterworth.

Sandy loved to create things through her crafts.  It didn’t matter if it was sewing, quilting, leather work, beads, or painting, Sandy enjoyed it all.  She also loved a good campfire and cold beer, spending time with her family, playing bingo, fishing, going deer hunting, although she never did actually get a deer.  However, most of all Sandy loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving Sandy is her daughter, June (Todd) McMeeken of Belding; sons, Walter (Karen) Hough of Belding, John (Marcia) Hough of Sheridan; grandchildren, Jenny Lasko (Jason Dumond), Michelle Hayward, Zachary (Alicia) Hough, Emily (Trenton) Cloudman, Holden (Kendra) Hough; great grandchildren, Adam, Kaleb, Jake, Owen, Brailen, Lennox, Little Walter, Lilah, Hank, Bjorn, Abigail, Autumn, and Damien; her aunt, Wanda Reynolds of Spring Lake; cousins, Jimmy Lake of Palmetto, Florida, John & Sherry Lake of Hartville, Tennessee; and her beloved dog, Bailey.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Junior Guilfoyle; mother and stepfather, Viola Butler and Gorden Black; and her husband of 51 years, Albert Hough.

Sandra’s life will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, March 24th, with a memorial service at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.).
