Ruth Helen Sinclair (Galloway)
Ruth Helen Sinclair, age 87 of Sheridan passed away at her home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Hospice.
Born in Belding on May 7, 1929, Ruth is the daughter of Frank & Bessie (VanVlevah) Galloway and they precede her in death as well as two brothers, Frank & Jimmy; one sister, Mary Bazar and a son, Phil Sinclair Sr.
Surviving Ruth is her husband of over 50 years, Roland; children, Phyllis Sinclair of Williamston, South Carolina, Larry (Pam) Sinclair of Fenwick, Sue (Mark) Kenyon of Ionia, Daniel (Wendy) Sinclair of Sidney, Deb (Jeff) Sandborn of Greenville, Kevin (Angela) Sinclair of Moore, Oklahoma; sister, Jane Dryer of Cranberry, Texas; brothers, Arthur (Jean) Galloway of Greenville, Marion (Betty) Galloway of Belding; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clinton & Jean Sinclair of Sheridan; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth worked at many places including GenCorp for over 17 years and Meijer in Greenville for 17 years before retiring. After her retirement, she and Roland enjoyed going to Florida each winter for 25 years, taking cruises and traveling to many other various destinations around the country. Ruth is also a member of the Shiloh Community Church.
Visitation with Ruth’s family is being held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.
Funeral services for Ruth will be on Saturday at the Shiloh Community Church beginning at 10 AM with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Graveside services will be held at the Sheridan Cemetery.
For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Ruth’s memory the family has suggested memorial donations be made to Spectrum Hospice and envelopes will be available at both the funeral home and church.
