Obituary for
Rodonnah Merideth Fisher (Brown)
Rodonnah “Rosie” Fisher, age 69, of Palo passed away at her home on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
On July 12, 1945, Rosie was born in Tell City, Indiana the daughter of Wallace & Margret (Stiles) Brown, both of whom have proceeded her in death. In addition, Rosie is proceeded in death by two brothers, Donald and Randy Brown, one sister-in-law, Lily Haring and two brother-in-laws, Bill Haring and Sid Fisher.
Rosie was married to Orland “Bo” Fisher on October 29, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri and he survives along with their daughter, Melody & Steve Lumbert of Sumner, two grandsons, Bo-James & Amanda Toth of Palo, Benjamin Toth of Crystal, two great grandchildren, Mason James Toth and Delia Grace Toth. She is also survived by five sisters, Lavon & Abe Siador of Palo, Carole & Armondo Munoz of Rose City, Delores & Antonio Pena of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Dorothy Hinton of Tell City, Indiana, Bertha & Vic Bigford of Berrien Springs and her lifelong friend, Dixie Miller of Palo.
Rosie has been a long time resident of Palo. She and Bo worked together at General Tire together for many years. She loved her family, especially her grandsons and enjoyed spending time with them. Rosie was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and crafting and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Visitation with Rosie’s family will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.
Funeral services for Rosie are being held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 beginning at 11AM at the Ionia Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 721 Elmwood Drive in Ionia, with Pastor Monty Landis officiating. Additionally, Rosie’s family will be receiving friends and family from 10-11 AM on Thursday at the church prior to the funeral service. Final interment will be at the Palo Cemetery in Palo.
