Obituary for Roberta Klingbeil

Roberta E. Klingbeil, age 86, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018 surrounded in love by her family.

She was born in Lansing, the daughter of Wilbur & Coral (Mayberry) Hanna. Proceeding Roberta in death are her parents; her husband, Merle Klingbeil; her sister and brother-in-law, Irene & Martin Sedlar and a granddaughter, Cristi Curtis.

Surviving Roberta are her daughters, Cheri Curtis (Hubbard Capes) of Grand Rapids, Sandy Warner (Craig Benedict) of Greenville; sons, Stan (Debbie) Klingbeil of Lansing, Merle (Sandy) Klingbeil of Sheridan, Bob (Brenda) Klingbeil of Sheridan, Bruce (Tricia) Klingbeil of Grass Lake; grandchildren, Marcy (Ray) Couturier, Brandi (Chris) O’Bryant, Scott (Threasa) Klingbeil, Benjamin (Jodi) Curtis, Michael (Rachel) Shamblin, Nathan (Spring) Beasley, Kimberly Klingbeil (Kurt Evoy), Mathew (Liz) Klingbeil, Jeni Klingbeil (Justin Reese), Keith (Missy) Choat, Staci Robinson (Scott Fletcher), Courtney (Vinny) Pederson, Kenneth Warner (Danna Wallace), Dylan Warner (Kelsey Ward); great grandchildren, Ally, Trent, Tyler, Andrew, Mason, Addison, Harper, Carson, Orion, Zander, Rhea, Jahayza, Sophia, Takoda, Shane, Jenna; and her sister, Barb (Harry) Sibley of Mesick.

Roberta was a devoted and loving wife, a wonderful mom and an awesome grandma. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing and crocheting. She and her husband, Merle loved to go dancing and spending time together and she will be deeply missed by her entire family.

Visitation and funeral services for Roberta are being held at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan on Friday, September 7, 2018 with visitation from 10 to 11 AM and funeral services beginning at 11 AM with Bill Simpson Jr. as Celebrant. Graveside services for Roberta will be at 2 PM at the Evergreen Township Cemetery.

For those wanting to donate in Roberta’s memory the family suggests you direct them to Great Lakes Caring Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
