Robert VanDam, age 64, of Edmore, passed away on January 17, 2022.
Known as a strong and loving man, Bob always put his family first. He was active in the lives of his children and grandchildren, and always said the best day of his life was the day he married Chloa in 1980. Bob enjoyed working on the mechanics of cars and was a truck driver for many years. Bob will be remembered by some of his favorite sayings, “Chill out!,” “What the f@!#!,” “It’s okay baby,”and “Miss you!” No Bob, we’ll forever miss you!
Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Chloa; children, Bobby (Kelly) Wilmoth or Edmore, David Wilmoth of Grand Haven, Chloa Ostema of Sparta, and Angela (Trisha) VanDam of Sparta; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl VanDam and Laurie VanDam, both of Texas; brothers, Bill (Millie) VanDam of Sparta, and John VanDam of Texas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Bob’s life is being held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 1-3pm at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.
