Robert Utter

Robert W. Utter, age 87, of Fenwick, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his home. He was born on June 24, 1925 in Portland, Michigan, the son of Vern & Myrtie (Randall) Utter.
On July 22, 1946, Robert was married to the former Joyce C. Wells and she preceded him in death on September 22, 2009. Also preceding him were 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Surviving are his children, Beverly Utter of Fenwick, Christine Utter of Stanton, Ernie & Becky Utter of Tennessee, Dan Utter of Fenwick and Greg Utter of Fenwick plus several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren in addition to one sister, Pearl Hopkins of Palo and a brother, Russell Utter of Fenwick.
A longtime resident of the Fenwick area, Robert was retired from General Tire in Ionia and was a member of the Evergreen Free Methodist Church in Sheridan.
Funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, with his pastor, Rev. Jim Vandewarker officiating. Interment will be at the Sheridan Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the funeral service.
