Robert D. Rountree, age 72 of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Laurels of Carson City.
Always on the lookout for his next treasure, Bob loved going to garage sales and the wheeling and dealing that want along with them. He was also fascinated with technology, Bob enjoyed tinkering on computers and basically anything electronic. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Surviving Bob are his daughters, Kimberly (Megan) Berns of Gurnee, Illinois; Deanna Norris of Richland; grandchildren, David Rountree; Taylor Norris (Kevin Song); Seth Norris; Owen Norris; great grandchildren, Anderson Song and Luka Song; brother, Ken (Shirley) Rountree of Middleville; special nieces, Deb Nash and Jo Smith (Dale), as well as many additional nieces and nephews. Bob is also survived by his beloved dog, Shadow.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William & Jaunieta (Gee) Rountree; son, Robert (Bobby) Rountree, Jr., sisters, Connie Tucker and Lorraine McKelvey; brothers, James Rountree; William Rountree; Randy Rountree and Allen Rountree.
Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic and the Governor’s Executive Orders in place, Bob’s family will be celebrating his life with a private family ceremony at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.
