Robert S Jenkins

Robert S. Jenkins age 68 of Stanton, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his home.

He was born the son of Robert & Vina (King) Jenkins in Battle Creek on December 7, 1947.

On July 4, 1969 he married Cynthia Wickerham and she along with his parents have preceded him in death.

Robert is survived by his children, Gene Jenkins of Sheridan, Shannon (Alan) Babcock of Virginia, Katrina Jenkins (Bobby Stump) of Stanton; sisters, Trudy Ordiway of Sumner, Jan (Steve) Simons of Lansing, Jollie (Brian) Zimmerman of Crystal; brother, John (Donna) Jenkins of Maple Rapids; grandchildren, Veronica Bird of Stanton, Zachary Bird of Sheridan, Rachel Babcock of Virginia, Seth Suykerbuyk of Stanton; great grandson, Brayden Bird of Stanton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill & Kim Harris of Stanton and another brother-in-law, Eldean Wickerham of Sheridan.

Robert loved to farm and work on cars. He enjoyed canning the many things he and his wife grew in their garden. He loved his family, grandchildren and especially his great grandson and he also loved his cats. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services for Robert are being held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 2 PM at the Sowle Cemetery in St. Johns. The cemetery is located at the corner of West Island Road & Essex Center Road.
