Obituary for
Richard Alan Bogue
Richard A. Bogue, age 72, of Stanton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 with his family by his side.
On December 9, 1942, Rich was born the son of Lester & Ivy (McIntosh) Bogue in Muskegon, Michigan and they along with two brothers; Warren Bogue and Lester Bogue Jr. and three sisters Lenore Heibel, Myrna Evans and Judy Webber have proceeded him in death.
Rich is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Bogue; four daughters, Pam Baker of Greenville, Richelle & Charles Lentz of Howell, Jamie & Greg Bonga of Six Lakes, Jessica & Billy Wright of Stanton; four sons, Karry & Linda Bogue of Grand Rapids, Tim & Michele Bogue of Sidney, Wayne Bogue of Dallas, Texas, Nick & Sarah Bogue of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one sister, Marge Knash of Muskegon, eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Rich was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and papa, who loved spending time with his family. He was famous for his practical jokes and enjoyed putting a smile on people’s faces. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved to hunt and fish, especially out west in Colorado. He is a retired member of the 1073rd National Guard Unit, a private pilot, avid traveler, former Montcalm Township volunteer firefighter and lover of life who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Visitation with Rich’s family will be on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan and also on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at the Trinity Church.
Funeral services for Rich will be on Saturday, May 23, 2015 beginning at 11 AM at the Trinity Free Evangelical Church in Stanton.
For those wanting to make memorial donations in Rich’s memory, the family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
