Rebecca Fancett, age 75, of Fenwick, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Becky was an outgoing woman, who was always willing to lend a hand. She could, and often did, outwork people half her age. One of the secrets to her youthfulness was having at least one chocolate bar a day, if not more! Becky loved working in her raspberry patch and vegetable garden, she loved taking walks several times a day, and her favorite hobbies were, cross stitching and knitting. Becky loved the Lord and loved attending church at the Sheridan Assembly of God. She took great pride in being a mom and nana, her family meant the world to her and spending time with them gave her great joy. She always enjoyed making brownies for dinners and her potato salad was always requested, as it was a family favorite and something that will be missed, as no one has yet to master making it as well as she could. Becky was loved by everyone, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving Becky is her son, Todd and Pamela Fancett of Fenwick; grandchildren, Shelly and Michael Fisk of Sheridan, James Fancett and Jody Herrmann of Fenwick; great grandchildren, Amos, Emma, Myra, Jude, and Lukas; sister, Audrey and Myron Grubaugh of DeWitt; nephews, Ed Grubaugh from DeWitt and Joe & D.J. Grubaugh from DeWitt.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ferne (Montague) Whaley and her husband, Gary Fancett.
A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, September 18th, at the Sheridan Assembly of God Church (4010 S. Sheridan Rd.), with Pastor Jerry Carlson officiating.
For those wanting to make a memorial donation in honor of Becky, donations may be made directly to the family.
