Randy Keeler of Stanton passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Sunday, March 12, 2017 leaving this world way too soon at only the age of 60.
Randy has been reunited in heaven with his dad, Orval Keeler; mother-in-law, Noreen Nichols, his very close friend, Rob Burns and many of his hunting dogs.
Randy was an “ideas” guy. He was always thinking about ways to improve various processes at his job at Haworth in Big Rapids or coming up with a new project to tackle at home. While Randy liked to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors, he really loved doing those things with his grandchildren, Carter, Julie-Ann, Connor, AJ and Myra. Last July when he was asked what he wanted for his 60th birthday, he simply replied “to spend the day with my grandkids." When Randy’s daughters, Sarah and Amanda, were younger they remember their dad taking them hunting, spending time with them outdoors and swinging, because as Randy would say “every kid needs a swing." Randy also enjoyed scrapping metal with his grandchildren and son-in-law, Andy. He would often use the extra money to take his wife Linda out for dinner.
In addition to being a great husband to Linda for 37 years, an awesome Papa to his grandchildren, terrific dad to his daughters and loving son to his mom Bonnie, Randy was also a brother, uncle and son-in-law and will be deeply missed by everyone, including his two grandpups, Olive and Lilly.
Randy’s family will be celebrating his life on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with a visitation from 4-6 PM and a memorial service beginning at 6 PM with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating.
For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Randy’s memory the family suggests donations be directed to either the Central Montcalm Athletic Department, Central Montcalm Band Boosters, or the Animal Rescue Coalition (ARC) of Mecosta County and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
