Phyllis M Adams (Chapin)
Phyllis Marie (Chapin) Adams, 86, of Greenville, passed away on January 4th after a short battle with neuroendocrin cancer.
Phyllis and her husband Buz enjoyed a wonderful life together filled with family and friends. Phyllis and Buz raised two fun loving children, Ricky Adams of Albuquerque, New Mexico and the late Joy Slingerland of Greenville. As a family they enjoyed racing snowmobiles and many other outdoor activities. Phyllis is survived by her husband Laverne “Buz” Adams who loves to say they were married for 128 years, 64 for her and 64 for him. She is also survived by her son, Ricky (Katya), her five grandchildren; Matthew (Shirley Lim) Christensen, Marcus (Audrey) Christensen, Jessica (Tony) Mamais, Alex Adams, and Wave Baskerville and her four great grandchildren; Willow and Ivy Christensen, and Zoe and Nick Mamais. She is also survived by brother Dick Chapin of Saginaw and sister Lois Walker of Ionia and numerous extended family and friends.
Phyllis retained her quick wit, laughter and love of sports right to the end and will be missed by all of those close to her.
To her wishes, there will be no service, just a close family gathering.
