Pennie Brigham-Wallace, age 45 of Fenwick, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 30, 2018, just one day after the death of her husband, Matt Wallace.
Pennie was an absolute wizard in the kitchen. Her kids remember their mom making them all sorts of different things, but their favorites were her spaghetti, home made chicken nuggets and her famous chili. Pennie was also a big activist for Autism awareness. She loved spending time with her grandson, Caleb, and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Surviving Pennie is her mother, Connie Carr of Fenwick; daughter, Jessica Croley (Brent Christensen) of Belding; son, Douglas Brigham of Greenfield, Indiana; grandson; Caleb Christensen of Belding; sister, Carla (Warren) Griswold of Hudsonville; brother, Mike (Pam) Brigham of Lake Ann; niece, Kristine Vincent of Greenville; great niece and nephew, Lexi and Kolton Vincent of Greenville; soon to be born niece, Frankee Leigh; step brothers and sisters; Dawn (Tim) Kimble; Tracey (Jennifer) Nathan; Becky (Jayson) Abell; step-brothers, Jim Nathan; Jack Nathan; step children; Bethany Ehlert of Coral, Matt Reeves of Ionia and Chace Reeves of Ionia.
Pennie is preceded in death by father, Carlton Brigham; husband, Matt Wallace; grandparents, Ruth Shepard, Kenneth Witzel, Melvina Brigham, Leonard Brigham; step-father, William Carr and step-mother, Vickie Brigham.
A Celebration of Pennie’s Life will be on Thursday October 4, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Stanton American Legion, 337 W. Day St. For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Pennie’s memory the family suggests donations be directed to Autism Speaks.
