Patty L. Cunningham, age 59, of Hubbardston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2021, surrounded in love by her family.
Patty would light up any room she walked in to and brighten your day with her presence. Patty attended and graduated from Forest Grove Schools and the highlight of every school year was her participation in the Special Olympics, where she loved to swim. She loved going camping with her family and spending time with them. She absolutely loved her birthday and was always quick to remind you when it was coming up. When she was younger, with the help of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and neighborhood kids, Patty learned to ride her bike, an accomplishment she was very proud of. She enjoyed her motorcycle trips for ice cream with her brother, Jack, always encouraging him to “go faster”. Patty also had a stubborn streak about her, and she was not afraid to tell you what she thought. The world was made a little brighter because of Patty Cunningham and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Surviving Patty is her special sister-in-law and guardian, T. Ann Cunningham of Hubbardston; sister, Terri Lilly of Hubbardston; brothers, Buck (Sharon) Cunningham of Lake Odessa; Pat (Rose) Cunningham of Carson City; Jack Cunningham of Hubbardston; sister-in-law, Cathy Cunningham of Hubbardston; nephews, Chad (Jenni) Cunningham of Hubbardston and Wade Cunningham of Hubbardston; niece, Jen Cunningham of Olivet; many more nieces and nephews; special cousin, Diane Cunningham of Hubbardston, as well as many additional cousins; and her beloved four-legged friends, Shep & Nike.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Keith & Mae (Billings) Cunningham, and brothers, Bud, Big Charley, and Rick.
Patty’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Carson City United Methodist Church (119 E. Elm St.). Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM and funeral services will begin at 11 AM. Graveside services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Hubbardston, beginning at 1 PM.
