Patti Buskirk
October 26, 1969 — March 7, 2020
Patricia A. Buskirk, age 50 of Edmore, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Patti was an all-in kind of person. If she had made up her mind, she was stubborn and strong willed; and good luck to anyone trying to change her position. If she encountered a stray animal, especially a cat, she was all-in for helping it out and taking it in. If you were a friend of her daughter’s, Patti quickly became a second mom to you. If you were at her house the day after Thanksgiving you knew she was all-in on decorating for Christmas. If you helped her in her garden, went shopping with her or took a camping trip with Patti, you knew she loved to have fun, laugh, and enjoy the simple things in life. Patti also loved cooking and baking; her chili, potato salad, cookies and cheesecake were legendary. However, above all else Patti was all-in with her family, she loved them dearly and cherished the time spent with them.
Surviving Patti is her mom, Elsie Moore of Greenville; husband, Gary Buskirk of Edmore; daughters, Charlene Buskirk (Collin Roberts) of Bangor, Maine; Cassandra Buskirk of Edmore; sisters, Kathy Warden of Grand Rapids; Sue (Mark) Malec of Grand Rapids; Debra (Sam) Juarez of Greenville; Sue (Mike) Berry of Greenville; brother, Jim (Ginny) VandenBerg of Rockford; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim & Annette Buskirk of Edmore; Tamie Buskirk of Hayden, Colorado; Shannon Buskirk of Stanton; great aunt, Marguerite Moore of Alma; lots of nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Patti was preceded in death by her grandma, Nellie Lyons; father, Otto Moore; three brothers, David Moore; Tom Moore; Frank VandenBerg and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Meredith & Charlene Buskirk.
Visitation for Patti will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 4 – 7 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar Street).
Funeral services for Patti will be on Thursday, March 12, 2020 beginning at 11 AM, also at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton. Graveside services for Patti will be at 12:30 PM at Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore.
