Michael Warner Jr.

Michael (Mike) Leroy Warner Jr. of Crystal, passed away at his home under the loving care of his family on Saturday, October 9, 2021. His passing followed a long battle with cancer.

Mike was born March 28, 1961, at United Memorial Hospital, Greenville, the son of Mike Sr. and Sylvia Warner. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Sr., his paternal grandmother, Alta Beth (Marvin) Burke of Belding, and his maternal grandparents, Therian and Katherine Hannah of Roanoke, Virginia.

Mike is loved and missed by his wife of 37 years, Kay Lynn (Bogart) Warner, and their daughters and sons-in-law, Danika and Josh Hitsman of St. Louis, Jessica and James Eerdmans of Sumner, and Megan and Doug Barrigar of Orleans; grandchildren, Alexis Hitsman, Liam and Lawsen Eerdmans, and Harper and Hazelee Barrigar; and his mother, Sylvia of Greenville, and his two brothers, Larry and Michelle Warner of Orleans, and Steve and Lila Warner of Reed City.

Mike worked many years for Highland Plastics of Shepherd, Michigan, and had just retired in the past year. He loved hunting and fishing with his grandchildren, spending time with his wife and children, and especially teaching those grandchildren how to fish, manage a fishing rod and boat, and how to love good food.

Visitation for Mike is being held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 5 to 8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.).

Funeral services for Mike will be on Friday, October 15, 2021, beginning at 11 AM, also at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan.
