Michael O. Ross, age 67 of Ionia, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Sparrow Ionia Hospital.
For Mike there was nothing more important or valuable than his family. He loved to spoil his grandchildren and spend time with them. Mike enjoyed riding his motorcycle and horses. He liked taking his kids camping when they were younger and more recently, he could be found helping his grandchildren with their 4-H projects. Mike was also a big John Wayne fan and probably knew all the lines from his movies. It wasn’t until Mike was an adult that he got to swim in the ocean, but it was something he loved and would be out with all the kids jumping and playing in the water. Mike will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Surviving Mike is his wife, Kathy; daughters, Alicia (Brian) Patten of Saranac and Melissa (David) Kulka of Lowell; son, Shannon (Jayne) Ross of Hubbardston; grandchildren, Emily (Paul) Brzezinski of Walker; Justin Ross (Christy Brandt) of Hubbardston; Lauren Ross of Hubbardston; Harleigh Patten (Beau Heimer) of Lowell; John Patten (Joyce Harding) of Lake Odessa; Kort Patten of Saranac; Aubrey Kulka of Lowell; great granddaughter, Hannah Brzezinski and a soon to be born great grandchild, “Baby Patten”; sisters, Norma Horn (Paul Bollinger) of Maple Rapids; Deloris Lund of Sheridan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Nellie (Jeffrey) Ross and two brothers, Harold Ross and Gary Ross.
