Melvin E. Sinclair, age 85, of Fenwick, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Greenville at Spectrum Health United Hospital.
Mel graduated from Sheridan High School in 1955. He retired from Electrolux after 38 years, but his true passion was farming, which is something he did his entire life. Mel also bowled on various leagues throughout the years, he was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving Mel is his wife of almost 63 years, Caroline (Waite) Sinclair; daughters, Barbara (John) Troupe of Stanwood and Sandra Sinclair (Daniel VanDerlip) of Sheridan; son, Gene Sinclair of Fenwick; grandchildren, Misty (Nate) Harrower of Detroit; Brandon (Krista) Troupe of Big Rapids; great grandchildren, Abby; Bella; Rhydian; sister, Ann Warner of Sheridan.
Mel was preceded in death by his parents, Harley & Norma (Haysmer) Sinclair.
Memorial services for Mel are being planned for a later date. Mel will be laid to rest in Sheridan Cemetery.
