Maxine Ryan

Maxine J. Ryan, age 90, a longtime resident of Crystal died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 while surrounded in love by her family. She was born on November 16, 1923 in Howard City, the daughter of Jhial & Hazel (Harvey) Croff.
On February 9, 1952, Maxine was married to William “Bill” Ryan and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2007. Also preceding her was a daughter, Beverly Chesebro, a son, Roger Chesebro and siblings, Frances Croff, Harvin & Delores Croff, Ruth & Lewis Knestrick, Lillian & Gordon Bassett, Wanita & Ken Chesebro, Max Croff and in-laws, Dorothy Croff and Jim Witherall.
Maxine is survived by her children, Larry Chesebro & Rachel Freeman, Tom & Kay Ryan, Becky & Dean Eller, John & Dana Ryan, her daughter-in-law, Roxanne Chesebro, 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, her significant other, Dewey Gallagher, one sister, Betty Witherall and a brother, Don Croff plus several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Reid Martin officiating. Following cremation, final interment will be at the Crystal Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Thursday evening, February 27th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
