Max E. Cook, age 76 of Carson City passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. He was born on June 24, 1938 in Powell, Wyoming, the son of Max & Wilma (Walker) Cook. Both parents have preceded him in death along with one brother, Dee Cook.
On April 25, 2003, Max was married to Mary E. Slock and she survives in addition to their children, Christine Bryan of Reading, Michigan, Frank & Krista Cook of Helmer, Indiana, Owen Cook of Cody, Wyoming, Jim Cook of Boise, Idaho, Connie & Mike Gautreaux of Texas, Will Hobbs & Stacy Volkert of Auburn, Indiana and Jamie Hobbs of Auburn, Indiana, 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one sister, Linda Byer of Neunan, Georgia and one brother, Darrell & Patricia Cook of Hebron, Maryland.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
Following the visitation, cremation will take place at the request of the family.
