Mary Hansen

Mary Theresa Hansen, age 73 of Stanton, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Carson City Hospital. She was born on June 3, 1940 in Carson City, the daughter of Harlan & Marjorie (Crouse) Garlock.
On December 15, 1995, Mary was married to Larry A. Hansen and he survives in addition to her children, Roger & Donnell Ralph of Sheridan, Rhonda Hansen of Stanton, 5 grandchildren, Ryan & Anitra Ralph, Jeremie & Jamie Ralph, Justin & Heather Ralph, Megan & Jason Smith, Christena “Chrissy” Hansen, 11 great grandchildren, 3 step children, Ronald & Sandra Hansen of Mecosta, Jon Hansen of Mecosta, Lori & Rick Morse of Blanchard, 7 step grandchildren, Brian Hansen, Chris & Danielle Hansen, Bethany Hansen, Cole Hansen, Charlie Bott, Tyler Bott, Tony & Rachel Bott, 3 step great grandchildren, 1 sister, Marlyn & Clarence Kohler of Saginaw, 1 brother, Dayle & Nancy Garlock of Atlanta, Michigan and 1 sister-in-law, Nancy Hansen of Mecosta.
Mary was preceded in death by both parents, by a son-in-law, Dean Hansen and a brother-in-law, Roger Hansen.
Mary has been a longtime resident of the Stanton area. She loved her flower garden and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids and looked forward to the family’s annual fishing trip to Houghton Lake. She worked at Central Montcalm Public Schools for 30 years and following her retirement, she went back and volunteered her time, making the difference for many students that were struggling.
At Mary’s request, cremation will take place and there will not be any funeral services held at this time; however a time of remembrance will be held at a later date.
