Obituary for Mary Ellen Miller

Mary Ellen Miller, age 78 of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Spectrum Health Blodgett surrounded in a room full of love with her family by her side.

She was born the daughter of Stanley & Veneva (Miner) Felton on February 12, 1939 in Crystal and they along with her two brothers, Stanley Felton, Jr., & John Felton and a great granddaughter, Claire Leone Bjordahl have preceded her in death.

Mary Ellen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Norval Miller; daughters, Robin Miller of Sheridan, Michelle (Jay) Wickerham of Sheridan, Valauri Willer of Greenville; son, Michael (Tammy) Miller of Sheridan, sisters, Norma (Jerry) Hollinshead of Sheridan, Dorothy King of Stanton; grandchildren, Tyson Christensen of Sheridan, Trenton Christensen of Sheridan, Trisha (Chris) Reed of Wyoming, Benjamin (Elizabeth) Wickerham of Flushing, Emma Wickerham of Holland, Jennifer (Carl) Bjordahl of Greenville, Stephan (Melisa) Miller of Greenville, Spencer (Alexandria) Miller of Greenville, Shane Miller of Sheridan; great grandchildren, Eric & Elliott Reed, Gus & Wren Wickerham, Coby Ehlert, Greylan & Oliver Norval Bjordahl and Jackson Miller.

A cosmetologist in Sheridan for 20 + years, Mary Ellen was a person who could do just about anything. She was a great cook, baker, cake decorator, she was also very talented at stained glass and doing upholstery. She and Norval enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Lake City, spending winters in North Port, Florida, which they did for 17 years, they also attend the Evergreen Free Methodist Church in Sheridan. Mary Ellen also liked to fish and go mushroom hunting, so much so that she even took classes about Mushrooms. Most of all, Mary Ellen was a wonderful wife, a great mom and a super grandma and great grandma and will be deeply missed by everyone.

Visitation with Mary Ellen’s family is being held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 4 PM at the Evergreen Free Methodist Church (2825 Condensery Road, Sheridan).

A celebration of Mary Ellen’s life will begin at 5 PM on Sunday, at the church, with Pastor Jim Vandewarker officiating. Final inurnment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mary Ellen’s memory the family suggests you direct them to the Evergreen Free Methodist Church and envelopes will be available.
