Marvin Michelsen

Marvin G. Michelsen, age 73, of Carson City, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. He was born on May 23, 1939 in Ionia, Michigan, the son of Francis & Beulah (Foote) Michelsen. Both parents have preceded him in death.
On April 23, 1977, Marvin was married to the former Janet E. Hoose and she survives in addition to six children, Kelly Michelsen of Ionia, Teresa & Terry Newton of Ionia, Jessica & Greg Moser of Boulder, Colorado, Sara & Jesse Harris of Carson City, Elizabeth Christecu of Long Island, New York and Peter Michelsen of Houston, Texas, 8 grandchildren, 3 sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Marvin has been a longtime resident of the Carson City and Crystal areas, was a veteran of the US Army, retired from Frididaire and was a member of The Church of Carson City.
Funeral services beginning at 11:00 A.M. will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at The Church of Carson City with Pastor Bill Hubler officiating. Interment will be at the Bloomer Cemetery, Carson City.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday beginning at 10 A.M., one hour prior to the funeral service.
