Marty “Mart” King, age 51, of Edmore, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Throughout his life, Mart’s focus and priority has always been his kids and grandkids. From working at AGA Marvel and American Bumper to provide for his family, to the times he spent hunting, digging a pool for them, making sure every grandkid had a power wheels to drive, or taking his kids to Michigan Adventures, Mart was always focused on his family. He also enjoyed singing and playing his guitar, mowing his lawn, and sitting on the porch watching the birds and the cows across the road. Mart’s life made a big impact on everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
Surviving Mart are his children, Amber King (Ben Hill) of Alma; Rebecca (Daniel) Seward of Breckenridge; Sarah King (Matt Daggett) of Vestaburg; Kenneth King of Vestaburg; Katie (Mitchell) Post of Sheridan; Jon (KC) King of Vestaburg; Emiley King of Alma; the mothers of his children, Kim Steffes of Orleans and Jennifer King of Stanton; grandkids, Kaiden; Jaelyn; Riley; Alanna; Carlie; Izzy; Pearson; Anna; Nixy; Evelyn; sisters, Jeanie Johnston of McBride; Tammy Wrisley of Edmore; Cindy Ordiway of Alma; Susie Rocha of Colorado; Patty King of Vestaburg; brothers, Rock (Sandy) King of Vestaburg; Bud (Sue) King of Riverdale; several aunts and uncles; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mart is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary (Lundy) King; brothers, Char King and Jake King; and nephew, Shane King.
In honoring Mart’s wishes, private graveside services were held at McBride Cemetery.
