Marjorie J. Sharpe (Marjorie J. Miller)
Marjorie J. Sharpe, age 93 of Sheridan, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 21, 2015 with her family by her side.
Born the daughter of Mark & Maude (Weaver) Miller on August 3, 1921 in Claremont, South Dakota, Marjorie has lived in and around the Sheridan area since the late 1920’s.
On August 19, 1956, Marjorie was married to Earl Sharpe at their home on South Derby Road and he proceeded her in death in February of 1986. In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie is proceeded in death by two brothers, two sisters, two brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Leland; son, Dave & Chris Sharpe both of whom are from Sheridan, one sister, Roberta Henretty of Grand Ledge, one brother, Robert Miller of Carson City, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and fourteen nieces & nephews.
Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who lived for her family. She like to garden and enjoyed finding a great deal at local garage sales. Marjorie loved her church and really loved being a stay at home mom and caretaker.
Memorial services for Marjorie are being held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at the Beth Haven Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Crowell officiating. Final inurnment will be at the Fairplains Cemetery.
