Marilyn Anthony, age 92 of Greenville, formerly of Stanton, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Metron of Greenville.
After retiring from Eerdman’s Printing in 1986, Marilyn moved to Stanton in 1988. She attended the Traditional Congregational Church in Stanton, was a member of the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary and was awarded “Mother of the Year” by the Church of the Nazarene in 1964.
Surviving Marilyn are her sons, Edwin (Delores) Anthony of Greenville and Kevin (Janice) Anthony of Wyoming; grandchildren, Spencer, Tony, Cory, Rebecca, Amy, Mary Ann, Missy, Paula, Dale, Dolly and Angie; seventeen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Also surviving Marilyn are her sisters, Rita Walsh of Caledonia; Barb Wolf of Caledonia; Shirley Teidt of Grand Ledge; brother, Ed (Loretta) Winslow of Belding; daughters-in-law, Gloria Anthony of Sheridan and Betty Anthony of Grand Rapids; and her cousin, Jackie Williams of Detroit.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, James & Alma (Schmidt) Winslow; husband, Keith Anthony; two sons, Gene and Stan Anthony and two brothers, James and Clarence Winslow.
Visitation and funeral services for Marilyn are being held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation is being held from 12 Noon to 1 PM, with funeral services beginning at 1 PM. Final interment will be at the Grandville Cemetery.
For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Marilyn’s memory the family suggests you direct those donations to any of the following: Sheridan VFW Auxiliary; Whitneyville Methodist Church or the Stanton First Congregational Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
