Margie Fishell (Chipman)

Margie Marie (Chipman) Fishell passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Ashley Care Dementia Unit. She was born on September 20, 1931 in Marne Michigan, at her grandparent’s home.

She married Pat Fishell at the Palo Baptist Church on November 10, 1946. They were happily married for 68 years. She has now been reunited with him.

She is survived by her daughter Patti (Mike) Peiffer, grandchildren Mat (Ashley) Peiffer, Layth (Irina) Peiffer and Amy Wall, Diana Wall. Son-in-law Steve Wall.

Margie loved her family—immediate and extended. Her brothers Jack, Jim, and Lawrence; as well as her in-laws, and all of their children and the next generations of children.
Margie will be remembered for her cooking, her energy, and her temper. When she felt something was ‘wrong’ she would work tirelessly to change it.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pat, daughter Beverly Wall, son Thomas, grandson Luke Peiffer, her parents Jim and Ruth (Fuller) Chipman, and her brother Lawrence Chipman.

Margie’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 8th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation is being held from 10 to 11 AM with Margie’s funeral services beginning at 11 AM. Margie will be interned at the Palo cemetery next to her daughter, son and husband.

A special thanks to the Ashley Care Center staff for their devotion and care during Margie’s final path. The family requests any memorials be sent in Margie’s name to the Ashley Care Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home on Tuesday.
