Mandy Earl Edwards, Sr.

Mandy Edwards, Sr., age 70, of Sheridan, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Hospice.

Mandy proudly served his country during Vietnam as a member of the US Army and was also a member of the Sheridan VFW Post. He worked for almost 32 years at Electrolux in Greenville until they shut down. When he wasn't working, Mandy liked hunting and fishing, grilling out, spending time with family, especially his grandkids. He was a very good bowler, throwing a 299 and 300 game, as well as an 800+ series. Mandy will be dearly missed by everyone.

Surviving Mandy is his mom, Joyce Barber of Sheridan; his wife of 37 years, Michelle; daughters, Serena Edwards of Greenville; Jessica Edwards (Jesse Karwoski) of Stanton; Angela Lee of Snellville, Georgia; sons, Mandy Edwards, Jr. of Greenville, Charles Edwards of Sheridan, Corey Edwards of Sheridan; grandchildren, Aubree, Nevaeh, Stanley, Ava, Aria, Koda, Urijah, Reign, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Brailey, Mandy III, Reilly, Andre, Aneeva, Stanley, and Kennedy; great grandchildren, Colt, Julian, Ashton, and Jasper; and niece, Lisa Jewell of Sheridan.

Mandy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles & Isabelle Mangus; father, Earl "Mandy" Edwards; sister, Cynthia Townsend; and several aunts and uncles.

Mandy's life is being celebrated on Friday, January 6 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1 PM, with funeral ceremonies beginning at 1 PM.
