Louis Marvin

Louis Marvin, age 85 of Vestaburg, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at his home under the loving care of his family.

Throughout his life, Louis constantly modeled what a good work ethic looked like. When he wasn’t working at his day job, Louis could be found cutting wood, tending to his almost three-acre garden, working on his model trains, riding his motorcycle, and in the springtime collecting sap and making maple syrup. Louis was also very active at the M-46 Tabernacle Family Ministries and really enjoyed helping with their food pantry. However, most of all, Louis loved his family and spending time with them.

Surviving Louis is his wife of 65 years, Donna Marvin; daughters, Joyce (Gary) Edgecombe of Vestaburg; Glenda (Harvey Jr.) Jerome of Vestaburg; Karen (William) Brown of Vestaburg; Trish (Jon) Chaffin of Riverdale; grandchildren, Simone (Cory) Dubry of Vestaburg; Derrick Sutton of Oregon; Lonnie Grover of Oregon; Jeremy (Trisha) Morford of Kansas; Jason (Bethany) Morford of New York; Justin Morford of Vestaburg; Zane (Kristy) Chaffin of Midland; Zoe (Calab) Larson of Allegan; lots of great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elsie Marvin of Crystal; nephew Allan (Jan) Marvin of Oklahoma; nieces, Pam (Rob) Burns of Oklahoma and Sheena Marvin of Texas

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Arther & Catherine (Hallar) Marvin and his two brothers, Roger Marvin and James Marvin.

Private family graveside services are being held at Ferris Center Cemetery. Memorial services celebrating Louis’s life will be held at a later date.
