Loretta Wagner

Loretta Mae Wagner, 85, of Sheridan passed away on Saturday, May 17th. Loretta was born on February 9, 1929, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of John & Wilhelmina (Michalak) Volkema, both of whom preceded her in death.
On May 3, 1963 Loretta was married to William Wagner and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1986. In addition, Loretta was preceded in death by an infant son, Calvin See; and a stepson Frank Wagner.
She is survived by, three daughters: Stella Wolbers of Kalamazoo, Loretta & Larry Lindy of Grand Rapids and P-Nut & Brian Stevens of Sheridan; one son, Jerome & Cheryl See of Kalkaska; one stepdaughter, Marcia & Dick Kooiker of Wyoming; one stepson William Jr. & Mary Wagner of Gowen; Thirty-one Grandchildren; Forty Great Grandchildren and Sixteen Great-Great Grandchildren. Loretta is also survived by her best friend of 74 years Alta Hann, special friend Dalia Smith and Son-in-law & Daughter-in-law Donald & Mary Wolbers of Grand Rapids.
Mrs. Wagner loved reading and was a member of various book clubs. She enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, word games and cooking for her family and friends. She also attended Beth Haven Baptist Church. Loretta especially loved her family and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Beth Haven Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Crowell officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Final interment will be at the Allendale Cemetery in Allendale.
