Lilah D. Cardinal, age 90, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Carson City Hospital. She was born May 16, 1921 in Ionia, the daughter of Amasa & Maude (Davis) Hancock. Both parents have preceded her in death along with two brothers, Charles & Clifford Hancock, a sister, Maggie Strecker and a grandson, Matt Hillabrandt.
On March 28, 1966, Lilah was married to Kenneth J. Cardinal in Indiana and he passed away on May 14, 1987.
Surviving are her children, Diane & Tom Cusack, Darrell & Diane Hillabrandt, Larry Hillabrandt all of Ionia, Teresa Hillabrandt of Sheridan and Dick & Cinda Hillabrandt of Clarksville, 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, two sisters Frieda Gallagher of Hubbardston, Geneiva Bloomquist of Palo and a brother, James & Roszella Hancock of Greenville plus several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cardinal has been a longtime resident of the Sheridan area and was retired from the Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons. She loved to crochet and was also a fantastic cook.
Funeral services beginning at 11:00 A.M. will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service; friends and relatives may call at the funeral beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday.
For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations can be made to the White Pine Library. There will be envelopes available at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of your loss Teresa and all you kids. Have lots of great memories!! LOL with Winer (the crazy dog) and Mom’s yard, boy he kept her busy and on her toes. All the yard sales, which should of been coming up, I bet you will never forget them days, I know I won’t, and the toddies that put me under the table.
