Lester “Bud” King, Jr., age 91, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the home of his son in Hopkins.
Bud was a guy who could build just about anything. It didn’t matter if it was new or used, whenever Bud got something, he would immediately begin working on it to make it just the way he wanted. Bud also like to go snowmobiling, camping, boating, fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving Bud are his daughters, Pamela Bajema of Dorr and Patricia (Marv) Wittingen of Hudsonville; sons, Lester III (Carol) King of Hopkins, David King of Sidney, Bruce (Laura) King of Sidney, Andrew (Molly) King of Hudsonville; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Julie, Ashley, Diana, Vicki, Tim, Stacey, Tara, Bud, Nichole, Jennifer, Bruce Jr., Keith, Alex, Kyle, Allison; several great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter, sister-in-law, Julie (Erv) Hopkins of Stanton; niece, Heather (Don) Guelzo of Sidney; nephew, Chad (Stacey) Hopkins of Sanford; great grandnieces, Kiley, Courtney, Riley, Reese.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Lester & Anna (Scherkengust) King; wife, Kay Marie King; son-in-law, Craig Bajema; grandson, Trevor Sniezek.
Bud’s life is being celebrated on Wednesday, November 3rd at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM, with his funeral service beginning at 6 PM on Wednesday, with Pastor Phil VanDop officiating.
