LeRoy Jones, age 88, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Mission Point in Belding.
A collector at heart, LeRoy loved going to flea markets and auctions in search of his great next find; in addition, LeRoy also sold many things as a vendor at many of those flea markets. He loved his dogs and enjoyed telling you all about them. LeRoy also loved to sing at jam sessions and had made many wonderful friendships throughout the years.
Surviving LeRoy are his daughters, Vanessa (James) Marr of Greenville; Deb (Dan) Rohn of Belding; son, Mark Jones of Greenville; grandchildren, Jessica Marr; James (Erin) Marr; Derica (Egnis) Jovet; Chasity Lewis; Chance Jones; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Eden, Tristin, Alec, Jadon, Quentin, Ty; sisters, Linda; Pearl; Mildred; Shirly; brothers, Roger, Bobby and Earl; many nieces and nephews and lots of extended family.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Odel & Dolly (King) Jones; wife, Betty; son, Mathew; aunts, Nellie and Mae; brothers, Tom; Glendo; Harold; Wilford; Irvin; William; sisters, Frances “Ratsy” and Patricia “Pert”.
Visitation for LeRoy is being held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St) from 5 to 7 PM.
Funeral services for LeRoy will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021 beginning at 1 PM at the Family Life Center Church of God in Belding (8683 Storey Road) with Pastor Bill Overton officiating.
Final inurnment will be at Sheridan Cemetery.
