Leota Campbell

Leota M. Campbell, age 84 of Stanton passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 in Greenville. She was born on April 11, 1930 in Stanton, the daughter of Leon & Viola (Emmons) Howell Sr.
On May 13, 1950, Leota was married to Leonard W. Campbell and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2009.
Surviving is one son and daughter in law, Craig & Debbie Campbell of Stanton, two grandsons, Jeramy and Bryan and three great grandchildren, Jesse, Lily and Rachel.
A lifelong resident of the Stanton area, Leota was a very faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Stanton where she played the organ for many years and was also the leader of the youth group at the church.
Funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Stanton with Pastor Ryan White officiating. Interment will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, June 26th from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan where the family will meet with friends and relatives.
For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations can be made to the First Baptist Church. There will be envelopes available at the funeral home.
