Leona Kosten, age 88, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville.
Leona was a lifelong resident of the Sheridan area and was retired from Kalfact Plastics. She also enjoyed crafting and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Leona is survived by her daughters, Linda (Bryan) Kimball of Stanton and Diane (Richard) Kimball of Sidney; grandchildren, Mark Kimball of Stanton, Stacey (Paul) Williams of Peoria, Illinois, Shelly (Jeramie) Ferguson of Greenville, Scott (Rina) Kimball of Sheridan, Amy (Jason) Day of Sheridan, and Jennifer (Stan) Bragg of Otsego; and many great grandchildren.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Vesta (Denman) Mosier; husband, Gerald “Red” Kosten; son, Gary Kosten; sisters, Elna Sydow Knapp, Edna Burch, and Doris Lund; brothers, Russell Mosier, Milton Mosier, Frank Mosier, and Don Mosier.
Leona’s life is being celebrated on Tuesday, December 7th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 Noon, with her funeral ceremony starting at 12 Noon. Leona will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
