Leon "Lee" Houseman
Leon “Lee” Houseman, Sr., age 70 of Stanton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2017.
He was born the son of Joseph & Ida (Curtis) Houseman in Alma and they along with a daughter, Becky Smith and a sister, Nelma Wells precede him in death.
Lee is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nadine; children, Robert (Lisa Denman) Theil of Stanton, Leon Houseman Jr. of Sumner, Debbie (Jeff) Sharpe of Sheridan, Shawn Swartz of Nevada, Missouri, Michael Houseman of Sumner, Leila Swartz of Florida; grandchildren, Jessica (Paul Day) Swartz of Sheridan, Nicholas (Sandy) Stanton of Lake Odessa, Joe (Danielle) Swartz of Belding, Joseph Sharpe of Battle Creek, Jay (Kylee) Swartz of Belding, Alan Sharpe of Sheridan, AJ Denman of Stanton, Nikki Brzak of Fenwick, Rachel (Paul) Corbin of Alabama, Stephen Kubicz of Alabama, Micheal (Cassie) Swartz of Greenville, Cody (Megan) Hamilton of Greenville, Amanda (Linelle) Dickerson of Grand Rapids, Christopher Holland of Sheridan, Amber Denman of Trufant, Michael Hulings of Elm Hall, Dylan Hulings of Elm Hall, Arianna Houseman of South Carolina, Seth Kimmel of Shiawassee; twenty five great grandchildren; sister, Josephine Walsh of Crystal; brothers, Stanley Smith of Sheridan, Dennis (Connie) Moody of Crystal, Chuck Allen of Edmore and Tom Shong of Stanton.
Lee enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially going fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed going to the casino, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Lee will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Lee’s life is being held at his house (301 Dempsy Drive, Stanton, Michigan) on Saturday, July 29th from 1-5 PM and everyone is welcomed to attend as your schedule allows.
