Leo Linebaugh, age 72, of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, in Grand Rapids at Spectrum Health Butterworth.
Never one to let grass grow beneath his feet, Leo loved to travel, both professionally as a truck driver and personally with his late wife, Jennie, and more recently with his fiance, Debi. He loved his Minneapolis-Moline tractors and enjoyed tractor pulls and the annual tractor drive across the Mackinac Bridge. In his younger years, Leo also liked drag races. He was a very social guy who never really met a stranger and loved to spend time with family and friends.
Surviving Leo is his fiance, Debi Hunter of Greenville; children, Becky (Marty) Sowles of Stanton, Kelly (Marcia) Linebaugh of Middleville, and Chad Daggett (Leeanna Emmons) of Greenville; grandchildren, Robert (Trish) Sowles of Greenville, Tyler Sowles, Logan Sowles (Rachel Harrison), Jenika Sowles all of Stanton, Katelyn Linebaugh and Nathan Linebaugh both of Middleville, Jess Linebaugh (Brian Weaver) of Walker, and Angel Evans of Greenville; great grandchildren, Audrey, Skyler, Lauren, Olivia, Brookelynn, and Hunter; sisters, Wanda Paulsen of Greenville and Shirley Downer of Gowen; many nieces and nephews, and lots of great friends.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, George & Cecelia(McLean) Linebaugh, wife, Jennie Linebaugh; sister, Celia Mae Aldrich, and brothers, Bill, Dick, Don, Chuck, Dwain, and Delbert, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Linebaugh.
Leo’s life is being celebrated on Friday, February 4th, at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar St.) from 4 to 7 PM. Please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.
Final inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
