Larry Hansen

Larry A. Hansen, age 73, of Stanton passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. He was born on January 4, 1941 in Douglass Township, the son of Frank & Nora (Lillie) Hansen. Both parents have preceded him in death along with two brothers, Roger and Dean.
On December 15, 1995, Larry was married to the former Mary T. Garlock and she preceded him in death on December 17, 2013.
Surviving are his children, Lori & Rick Morse of Blanchard, Ronald & Sandra Hansen of Mecosta, Jon Hansen of Mecosta, a step daughter, Rhonda Hansen of Stanton, a step son, Roger & Donnell Ralph of Sheridan, his grandchildren, Brian Hansen, Chris & Danielle Hansen, Bethany Hansen, Cole Hansen, Charlie Bott, Tyler Bott, Tony & Rachel Bott, 5 step grandchildren, Christena (Chrissy) Hansen, Ryan & Anitra Ralph, Jeremy & Jamie Ralph, Justin & Heather Ralph, Megan & Jason Smith, 2 sisters-in-law, Nancy Hansen of Mecosta, Marilyn & Clarence Kohler of Saginaw, a brother-in-law, Dayle & Nancy Garlock of Atlanta, Michigan plus several nieces and nephews.
Larry has been a longtime resident of the Stanton area. During his career, he worked in oil and gas leasing, at Bookwalters in Stanton, and in real estate at Millard Realty. Larry loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and will long be remembered for his great sense of humor.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will not be any funeral services held.
For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations can be made to the Montcalm County Commission on Aging.
