Krista Lee Basney-Larsen, age 35 of Stanton, passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
You always knew where you stood with Krista and what she thought, as she was never short on words or afraid to share her opinion with you. She absolutely loved her kids and spending time with them, in fact, Krista loved all kids and it wasn’t unusual for her to have a houseful of kids playing at her home. She enjoyed all the various holidays and having her family and friends around. Krista liked going on motorcycle rides with her sister, Kim and she adored her dogs and cats.
Surviving Krista is her mother, Pam Hutson-Wright and step-father, Allen Wright of Sheridan; father, Richard Basney and step-mom, Arice Basney of Greenville; daughter, Cheyenne Basney of Sheridan; sons, Keagan Basney (Linsey Pasch) of Stanton; Hunter Larsen of Greenville; her ex-husband, James Larsen of Greenville; sisters, Kim Basney of Stanton; Amy Basney of Belding; Amy (Gene) Holsted of Edmore; Kieshia (David) Day of Stanton; brothers, Bobby (Trish) Sowles of Greenville; Richard (Becky) Race of Edmore; Donald Simons of Sheridan; grandma, Carol Rydahl of Sidney; fiancé, Randy Wilson of Stanton; aunt, Cherie (Kim) Dingman of Sidney; uncle, Dan (Mary) Rydahl of Greenville; niece, Jade Morrow of Stanton; nephew Joey Morrow of Stanton; as well as many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Krista was preceded in death by her grandpa, David Rydahl; grandma and grandpa, Joe & Lillie Basney and a sister, Heidi Jo Basney.
Krista’s life will be celebrated on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Stanton (225 W. Cedar Street) between 11 AM and 2 PM, during which time you are free to come and go as your schedule allows.
