Obituary for Kimberly Toleson

Kimberly Ann Toleson age 62 of Stanton, passed away peacefully at her home after a long battle with cancer, on Thursday, April 19, 2018 under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice.

Kim was born the daughter of Clark & Kay (Weeks) Gorham in Lansing. She is preceded in death by her mother.

Surviving Kim is her father Clark Gorham of Lansing; husband, David Toleson of Stanton; grandchildren, Triston Rish of Lowell; Steven Rish, Jr. of Fenwick; Rizzie Tompkins and Princeton Tompkins both of Greenville; Brayden Bird of Sheridan; niece, Kandi Witter of Stanton, and cousin Steven Rish of Greenville.

A helpful and loving person, Kim would do anything for you if you needed help. She was a volunteer at the Stanton American Legion and helped with the annual Toys for Tots campaign. When she wasn’t busy helping others, she enjoyed crocheting, putting puzzles together, playing games on her computer and watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Kim also loved listening to country music and was thrilled when she was able to see Toby Keith in person for her 26th wedding anniversary.

A memorial service celebrating Kim’s life will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Frost Seventh-day Adventist Church in Stanton beginning at 1 PM with Pastor EJ Wolf officiating.
