Kenneth Ross, age 83, of Sheridan, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 18, 2021, under the loving care of his family and Heartland Hospice.
Ken Ross was a man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it and it really didn’t matter if he knew you or not. He was giving, kind, and a gentle giant; the kind of person who would stop whatever he was doing if a friend needed help. Over the course of his life, Ken helped to build hundreds of miles of roads as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineer Local 324. Ken also enjoyed farming and he really liked his sports. It didn’t matter if it was watching the local Central Montcalm Sports teams, Detroit Tigers, or NASCAR, Ken enjoyed them all. However, most of all, Ken loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids and was a constant figure in the crowd at their events. The world was made better because of Ken Ross, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving Ken is his wife, Pam Ross of Sheridan; children, Amy (Todd) Cornwell of Sidney, Andy Ross of Sheridan, Chris (Bryon) Eshleman of Hudsonville, Terry Kindlle of Crystal, Vickie McElvain of Saranac, Pat (Gary) Closson of Sidney, Edward Kindlle of Stanton, Rick (Marlin) Hanson of Stanton, Gary (Gale) Hanson of Stanton; grandchildren, Kelsey Ross, Eva Ross, Cory Kindlle, Eddie Kindlle, Tyler Eshleman, Sara Eshleman, Michael Eshleman; nieces and nephews, Randy (Gaylia) Ross, Greg (Connie) Ross, Marty (Laurie) Ross, Sheila (Jan) Morse, Brenda Bissell, Carolyn Ross, Ann Ross; lifelong special friends, Mariel Wagner, Tom Greenhoe, Jeff and Nikki Wagner, Dean and Loren Wagner, Jerry and Lori Dings.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Mer & Vera (Hill) Ross; 1st wife, Kathern; son, Kendall; 2nd wife, Eva; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry & Betty Ross; and lifelong friend, Bob Wagner.
