Kenneth Burris

Kenneth E. Burris, age 85, of Stanton, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Laurels of Carson City.

Ken was a principled man who loved his God, family, and country, and was a devout Christian, proud American, and an extremely hard worker. Growing up on the family farm Ken developed a strong work ethic, which served him well throughout his life as a road builder and Master Electrician. Ken truly loved his work. He also enjoyed tearing things apart and tinkering with them. Ken also understood the importance of giving back and serving others. For many years he served on various boards and committees, he was a Stanton City Commissioner, and a former Mayor of Stanton. Ken also loved his family and spending time with them.

Surviving Ken is his wife of 65 years, Patsy; daughter, Sheila (Mario) Scorziello of Italy; sons, Denny (Kris) Burris of Comstock Park; Brad Burris of Stanton; Brian Burris of Stanton; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Dorothy (Wolfe) Burris.

In honoring Ken’s wishes, no formal funeral ceremony will be held.
